A key style for this collection; inspired by a portrait of Nina Hamnett painted by Roger Fry. Nina is a tea-length trompe-l’oeil dress, with a bustier panel on the chest.
The print is hand-drawn to imitate the look of a woven block check, and printed on organic cotton twill.
The style has classic shirt details such as a regular shirt collar, long sleeves with slit cuffs and a button closure with antique French, 1910s, glass buttons.
The skirt is pleated at the waist and features a ballooned hem and side pockets.
